etterduewe send togetherTerms
Last updated September 4, 2026
These terms are the deal between you and Letterdue LLC for letterdue.com. If you do not agree, don’t use the site. This is written in plain language for a small shop. It is not a substitute for counsel on a government contract.
The product
Letterdue is invoice software. The free desk makes a letter-quality PDF with a Letterdue mark. Pro and Studio take the mark off, save the desk to your login, send mail from Letterdue, and (after you connect Stripe) let clients pay a link. We provide the tool. You are responsible for the numbers, tax, and what you send.
Accounts
Free use does not need an account. Pro and Studio logins are for paying customers (and Studio seats the owner invites). Keep the password to yourself. Don’t share a login to dodge a seat. We can close an account that looks like abuse, spam, or fraud.
Subscriptions
Pro and Studio are recurring Stripe subscriptions at the prices on Pricing. You authorize Stripe to charge the card on file until you cancel. Cancel in Settings → Manage billing. Canceling stops the next charge; you keep Pro until the period you already paid through, then the login ends. We do not prorate unused days unless the law says we must. Prices can change; we will not raise a term already paid.
Refunds
Letterdue subscription charges: email hello@letterdue.com within 14 days of a first charge if something went wrong on our side. Invoice pay-link charges are between you and your client. Those land on your connected Stripe account. We cannot refund them; you handle that in Stripe.
Pay links and Stripe Connect
If you connect Stripe, you are a connected account on our Stripe platform. Clients who open a pay link pay through Stripe. Funds go to your connected account, not to Letterdue’s subscription balance. You agree to the Stripe Connected Account Agreement and Stripe’s services terms. You are the merchant of record for those invoices. You handle taxes, disputes, and refunds on that money. We may take an application fee later; if we do, it will be on Pricing before we charge it.
Sending from Letterdue is Pro. Don’t use it to spam. We rate-limit and can turn send off. Replies go to the email on your letterhead, not to a Letterdue inbox you don’t own.
Your content
You own your invoices and client names. You give us a license to store and display them so the product works. Don’t upload anything you don’t have the right to use. Don’t invoice for illegal goods or services.
The free desk
Free data lives on this device. Clearing cookies or site data wipes it. We are not a backup service for free users.
Availability
We aim to stay up. We don’t promise 100%. PDFs, mail, and Stripe can fail for reasons outside this site. Print a copy if a job depends on it.
Liability
The site is provided as-is. To the extent Louisiana law allows, Letterdue is not liable for lost invoices, missed payments, tax mistakes, or consequential damages. If a court finds we owe you something, it is capped at the subscription fees you paid us in the three months before the claim. That cap does not apply where the law forbids it.
Law
Louisiana law, excluding conflict-of-law rules. Courts in Louisiana, unless a statute gives you another forum. If a piece of these terms can’t be enforced, the rest still stands.
