What we collect

Free desk. Invoices, clients, and letterheads live in this browser until you pay. We do not get a copy unless you later create a Pro login and the desk syncs.

Pro and Studio. Email, password hash (or Google/X if you use those), invoices, clients, letterheads, logos, signatures, and the fact that you paid. Studio owners also store teammate emails they invite.

Payments. Subscriptions and invoice pay links run through Stripe. We store Stripe customer IDs, checkout session IDs, and (if you connect payouts) a Stripe Connect account ID. We do not store full card numbers. Stripe’s privacy policy is at stripe.com/privacy.

Mail. If you send an invoice from Letterdue, Resend delivers it. We log the To address, subject, and whether it sent so we can rate-limit abuse.

Site use. Standard logs (IP, browser) for security and uptime. We do not sell this. We do not run ads.

How we use it

To run the desk, take Pro/Studio payment, send invoices you ask us to send, mark invoices paid when a client pays a pay link, and keep the product from being used as a spam relay. We do not sell lists. We do not train public models on your invoices.

Who else sees it

Stripe (payments and Connect). Resend (outbound mail). Our host (the servers that store Pro desks). If you send an invoice, the recipient sees what you wrote and the PDF. If a client pays a pay link, they pay through Stripe to your connected Stripe account — Letterdue is the software in the middle, not the merchant of that invoice.

Cookies

Sign-in uses a session cookie so we know it’s you. The free desk uses this browser’s storage. Clearing site data on a free desk is a full reset.

How long we keep it

Pro desks stay while the account exists. If a subscription ends, the login is removed; we may keep the desk JSON against that email so it can come back if you pay again. Mail logs are short-lived operational records. Stripe keeps payment records on their side as the law requires.

Your choices

Change your password in Settings. Cancel Pro in Manage billing (keeps access until the date already paid through). Disconnect Stripe payouts in Stripe. Email hello@letterdue.com to ask for a copy or deletion of the desk we hold for your login. Free users: clear this site’s data in the browser.

Children

Letterdue is for businesses. It is not directed at children under 13.

Where we are

Letterdue LLC, Louisiana, United States. Servers may be in the US. If you use the site from elsewhere, you understand that.
